The World of N8MR & KC8NAH

We will participate in the 2008 International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend August 16 - 17, 2008.  We will operate with KA8FFM, plus others from the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse in Eagle Harbor, Michigan

For the week of August 15th to the 23rd, 2008, we will not only be activating the Eagle Harbor Lights from a fixed station, we will also activate other lighthouses while mobile in Michigan's upper peninsula, especially in the Keweenaw Peninsula, in the days following the ILLW.

From Aug 18th to 22nd, activations of lighthouses will most likely take place after 2100 UTC. Our activity level and times depend entirely on our very changeable schedule, so we are not guaranteeing that any particular light will be activated.

For all lighthouse activations between Aug. 15th and 23th, we will be using the callsign K8E. We will have one QSL for Eagle Harbor Lighthouse QSOs and another for all other lighthouse activations.

During ILLW, we will put an emphasis on CW, especially on Saturday, during the NAQP, Phone. Throughout ILLW and the week following, we will be listening for DX stations.

If you would like more information the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse and the surrounding area, please see Eagle Harbor Links
