On August 7th 2003, there arrived an addition to our family - a Miniature Poodle we named Sal. Sal was born May 29th, 2003. For his first few weeks with us, he looked more like a little black sheep than a dog. Since we've acquired him, we've have the opportunity to learn how to shear a dog (Poodles have hair, which has to be cut, not fur which falls off on its own), pull a dog's ear hair (Poodles also require this) and be attentive to the dog's every move (he could be either reshaping something or adding his own personal touches to it).
